CompTIA is heavily involved in the push to update the country's outdated healthcare records and prescribing systems through incentives for healthcare information technology. Electronic records, prescriptions and other IT tools can reduce doctor and pharmacist errors, create a more comprehensive and clear recording system, and reduce healthcare costs. CompTIA's initiatives and incentives will lead to increased efficiencies and better healthcare through the purchase, installation, use and maintenance of health information technology training, equipment and software.
